Holy Adam West, Batman!

Adam West visited Toronto last weekend for this year’s Fan Expo and my friends and clients from the Toronto Underground Cinema had him as their special guest for their screening of Batman: The Movie. They asked me to draw them up a poster to promote the event. This was probably my best project to date… I watched the 60′s Batman series religiously as a child and was madly in love with its corny film to go with the franchise, and I think my inner geek really helped with the creation of this poster. One of my favourite scenes in the film (this was a toss-up between the rubber shark scene) was when Batman ran around the harbour with the most cartoonish looking bomb trying to get rid of it. Well, it’s not everyday you get to draw Batman with a bomb for a legitimate campaign! Best. Project. Ever.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the actual event, but the guys at the Underground were kind enough to get Adam to sign one of my posters for me. Adam freaking West just signed my design and said he loved it. AWESOME!

July has been such a crazy busy month and I can’t believe it’s over. My art show opening gala on the 15th was a lot of fun! I want to thank everyone who came to the show and partied. Thank you for supporting me, guys! Unfortunately, photography wasn’t allowed at the store, but all the fun memories of the evening are still pretty fresh in my mind.

Special thanks goes out to:
Ben & Jill for the flowers (which are still alive after two weeks… I”m pretty freaking impressed)
Justin, who was kind enough to give us a ride home after the show
Chris for providing spooge for my penis cookies (which was total om nom nom)… also to the rest of the guys: Shaggy, Max and Alex at Casa Nublar for letting me use their kitchen for two days to bake said cookies
The wonderful staff at Come As You Are (especially Annanda!) who have been such wonderful hosts!
My husband Alex for helping me get everything together and being my muse.

Casual Encounters: Coming Out Gala TONIGHT!

Tonight is the night! I will be having my “Coming Out” art opening reception tonight 7-9PM at Come As You Are (701 Queen Street West, just west of Bathurst). I’ve been so anxious for this day to come. I can’t wait to share my erotic art with you guys!

If you’re in the Toronto area, be sure to stop by the shop tonight to check out my work. My artwork, as well as some crafts such as the Lucky Pierced Pin series and sex greeting cards will be available for purchase. Also, the store will remain open during my party, so bring extra cash because this place has some amazing sex toys, porn and books (not to mention the BEST lube on the market). Oh, and there will be some kinky cookies and delicious brownies available for munching while you mingle! It’s a great way to spend a Thursday evening, yes?

My erotic art is on display in Toronto! Not only is my solo art show finally up at Come As You Are*, but this week my print “Suck It” is featured in Sneak Peek: The Keyhole Sessions Artists Group Show at the Gladstone Hotel. “Suck It” was based on a sketch that I drew of Dylan Ryan and Jennifer Rose during th Valentine’s Day Session earlier this year. Being a Keyhole model myself, I might also be in a couple of the pieces too. Opening Gala is on July 10th… be sure to check it out!
